The Riviera is a private and exclusive community located in the beautiful Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles County. Nestled in the Santa Monica Canyon just below the mountains and a block south of Sunset Boulevard, this beautiful golf course, residential community and country club was originally designed back in 1926. The Riviera has hosted three major golf championships including the US Open, the PGA Championship, and the US Senior Open. The Riviera Country Club is set to host the Olympics in 2028. It’s also been the primary hose for the Genesis Open, and annual event on the PGA Tour.

The Riviera country club and course originally opened back in 1926 known as the Los Angeles Athletic Club Golf Course. During the 1930s, the country club prospered with an equestrian facility. The club has been known for multiple movie sets such as Follow the Sun, Pat and Mike, and Several Others.

The Riviera Community stretches south along the Western border of the country club north to Sullivan Fire Road and Old Ranch Road. North of the golf course, the homes are set on Hills offering sensational views of the course, Pacific Palisades and the ocean. These are larger homes on oversized lots and offer some of the most high-priced real estate in Pacific Palisades. Several homes have golf course views, backyard swimming pools, outdoor living environments, and gated driveways.

Schools

Residents are part of the Los Angeles Unified School District and students are assigned to the Canyon Elementary school, the Paul Revere middle school, and the Palisades charter high school. The Everest value school and Josh Pomeroy Widney high school, as well as the Whitman continuation school, are also assigned to this community.

At any given time there are roughly 5 to 10 properties for sale in The Riviera priced starting at about $4 million. There are no homeowner association dues currently but please verify any association fees or dues with current listings below.
